This candle is 100% soy wax, hand poured by myself in Portland, OR. They’re housed in frosted glass vessels adorned in art by Colin Davidson. A portrait of Glen and Marketa which appears on their newest upcoming Album, titled Forward.
When I was asked to create a candle and fragrance as merch to accompany The Swell Season on tour this summer, it was a coalescence of people and creativity that I hold very dear. I’ve been friends with Glen and Marketa for nearly 2 decades, and to attempt to capture them energetically in scent was a full body “yes” for me. It catapulted me into an intense all-consuming study of perfumery on a deeper level, and what emerged is something I’m proud of.
